Although it’s been a fun ride over the past 7-8 months, I’ve decided to discontinue the newsletter. It was fun while it lasted, but ultimately, this will be the final newsletter. I’ll still be available via Discord, and I’ll still be collecting TikTok data - it just won’t be published publicly anymore.

Premium members will receive one final deep dive this week on several companies that have had my eye lately, as well as some sectors that I find to be compelling moving forward. Annual premium members will receive pro-rated refunds.

🗓️ This Week in The Markets

Macro/Market News
  • All three major U.S. indices, the S&P 500, Nasdaq, and Dow, closed at record highs during the week. This momentum was largely driven by strength in semiconductor and technology stocks.

  • The core PCE price index, which is the Federal Reserve's preferred inflation metric, rose 3.3% year-over-year. This was in line with expectations, while the non-core reading came in at 3.8%.

  • The government is discussing funding deals, which may include equity stakes, with U.S. drone manufacturers. This effort aims to expand domestic production and reduce defense supply chain costs.

Company Specific News
  • Jeff Bezos' New Glenn rocket exploded during a launchpad engine test at Cape Canaveral. The incident destroyed the booster and the company's only operational launch pad, which experts predict could put NASA's 2028 moon landing timeline in serious jeopardy.

  • Both Micron and SK Hynix crossed the $1 trillion market cap threshold for the first time. The milestone comes as memory chip shortages and immense infrastructure spending continue to fuel AI hardware stocks.

  • Wix announced it is laying off approximately 20% of its workforce, or over 1,000 employees. The layoffs are part of a broader restructuring effort to pivot the company around AI-driven operations.
